In the world of competition please be willing to adopt some flexible pricing.
I have used Adobe Creative Suite since 1997 till 2019. I forced myself to find upstarts. I am tired of corporate gouging.
I also used Autodesk Maya, another gouger that had me switch to Blender and Amen that I did. I was happy to buy packages from developers who itemized the products I need or wanted to use.
I bought ZBrush and have never be bothered with another expense. If they have to retool for a complete new version I would be happy to shell out money for it because I trust the company.
I switched to notion from Evernote and have been greatly please. I pay $10 for the add Ai and am still pretty pleased. Today I need to make 30 labels so I wanted to see if Notion could do it and, yes for $25+ bucks month.
I am an indie developer that is already pay for Policy management, Cookie controls, Developer fees, Advertisements , annual domains, Monthy hosting, and so on.
Yes there is price to doing business but I believe and hope that the business that succeeds are those that increment subscriptions, $0.99 mo. even $0.49 mo. for package labels, and so on.
When I went to see if Notion could do Labels. $25.99 a month for 30 labels my first instinct was, no... lets go see what Google has. And, I don't want to do that. I want notion to compete with Google not loose to it.
Just my 2 cents. Thanks for listening.
